Standing On the Edge Of Glory

46cdee68592011e2830722000a1f9d75_7Nothing makes me understand God’s power and Majesty then standing on the edge of the ocean. I was born and raised in Southern California and have always loved the beach. I’d live there if I could afford it. The smell of the salty hair, the wind on my face, the sand on my feet and the sound of waves crashing in my ears. All of it just makes my heart so very happy.

However the thing I feel most when I sit on the coast line is God’s presence. Living so close to Los Angeles and the hustle and bustle of the city makes me lose sight of God’s power and greatness. But all it takes is a few seconds standing on the edge of the ocean to see His greatness, to feel His power and to experience the creator of all things.

I want to feel that everyday, not just when I have time to go to the beach. Don’t you?

The source of truly feeling God’s wonder and majesty is by opening your bible. Digging into His word everyday, breathing deep of His love and promises, will refresh you, grow your faith and bring you closer to Him. Time spent in prayer and wonder of the Savior of the world is more incredible then standing on the beach.

For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Hebrews 4:12

The bible is alive and God is waiting for you to join Him today. Don’t settle for a few moments here and there to feel God’s grace and love. Feel it everyday, by standing at the edge of His glory by holding your bible in your lap and reading it!

Oh Laura, this is good, very very good and I am in awe of you because you remind me to be in awe of my Lord and Savior, our one true God. The Lord is working in you and using you in wonderful ways. May you never lose sight of that miracle.
    Love you!
