A Life of Worship

18-_MG_8537“may my whole life be a blazing offering, a life that shouts and sings the greatness of our King” Glory To God

I love worship music and I love photographing people worshiping in church. But is that it? Is that where the worship ends? I really hope not. How sad and unfulfilling would it be to live a life where you only worshiped Jesus once a week for two hours?

Worship is not just found inside the walls of a church on a Sunday morning while amazingly gifted musicians sing. Worship is an active pursuit of Jesus with your life.

Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God–this is your spiritual act of worship. Romans 12:1

We are created to offer our whole selves as an act of worship to God. I am blessed to attend and serve at a church that has shown me how to worship God with my whole life. From how I talk to my children to loving those in my life who are hard to love. It can all be an act of worship to the God who created me and blessed me with this life.

So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31

Worship can be anything as long as you do it for the glory of God! Every breath you take can be a living sacrifice to the King of Kings. Choosing Him each day is an act of worship. Over the past hundred years or so we have shrunk worship down to four songs on a Sunday morning. Which when you read that seems pretty sad. God deserves so much more than a few hours once a week.

I don’t want you to miss out on a life truly lived. You have one chance, one life to live. If you continue to put God into the “Sunday Box” you will miss any chance of experiencing the life He planned for you! Take the step today to show God your worship, He gave you this life, hand it back to Him to use for His glory. You have no idea how freeing it is to walk in worship with your Savior.

How do you worship God?
